Plans for the year 2011
CGFG Christmas Lunch 2010
All our meetings now take place on the 2nd Saturday of each month, with a Summer Break from June to end of August 2011
Fish & Chip Shop dates from 11.30am till 3.00pm each First Saturday, Pound Hill Master Fryer and Third Saturday, at The Felbridge Parade, Alex, in each month.
1) January 8th 2011 This date is still open, due to the bad weather experienced at this time of the year, we may keep this as a general discussion meeting, an opportunity to discuss and review our plans for the year 2011 and make any changes.
2) February 12th 2011 This will be our 4th Anniversary, we will be holding a Gluten Free Food Fayre in the largest Hall seating 100 people. We have invited 9 suppliers, to show and discuss their products, all have accepted our invitation and we are extremely pleased to announce, that the Rt Hon Henry Smith MP for Crawley, has confirmed his acceptance to open the Fayre.
3) March 12th 2011 It is confirmed that we will have a presentation by Paddy Cronin of United Central Bakeries, and our web site sponsor of the Livwell Link, makers of that now famous Genius Bread.
4) Due to a late Easter and a Royal Wedding late April, the Crawley Technical College can only offer us an early April or early May date, for our usual Gluten Free Lunch, so I have booked the earlier date. So we now have reserved a booking for the 6th April, at just under £10 a head
5) April 9th 2011 We have received confirmation, that a representative from Tesco will be speaking.
6) May 14th 2011 This date has now been confirmed with JUVELA, so we will be having a great 1 hour cookery demonstration, with a special children’s baking section
Summer Break during the school holidays.
7) September 10th 2011 We will have Dr.Butt, the Coeliac Clinical Director, of The Brighton Children’s Hospital, who will be giving a presentation about their work with the children, and how we may best co-operate.
8) October 8th 2011 We can confirm that Dr.G.Mackenzie, Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist will be speaking to us, about the latest developments in the treatment of the Coeliac Disease..
9) November 12th 2011 It is now confirmed that Nutrition Point, previously called Glutafin will be giving a 1 hour cookery demonstration.
